Abstinence from meat dishes:
All Fridays of Lent

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast, which means that each of us can eat 3 meals, with only one being a full meal (this includes everyone from 18 to 60 years of age), and is obligated to abstain from eating meat (this kind of mortification is for everyone 14 and older without an upper age limit). The Church, however, encourages everyone who is not formally obligated to these forms of asceticism to accept them in the spirit of love.
